No clue wether or not this is real.

One tip though, you can get nice wool sweaters for much cheaper than over 3000kr, I just did a Google search for mariusgenser and got plenty results of decent quality, brand new, for under 1000.

Is this brand very important to you? If not I’d suggest just looking for a different brand (from Norway) and avoid the risk of getting scammed. Also Idk wether you actually live on Norway lul

If the tags are off, i just always take that as a sign that it’s a fake.

Just quickly looked through their current webstore and couldn’t find that exact model, but it may be an older one no longer in production.

I would treat it as fake as they have no way of proving it is real

Google reverse image search is your best friend in case like these. It seems to be similar at least to vintage models however from my search they seem to have blue necks and not red. Other than that it looks right, but again, hard to say!

I am Norwegian and I actually have the exact same sweater. I „borrowed“ it from my mother some years ago, I think it was made in the 80’s. It has no tags, but it does not seem handmade, as it has seams. But it is well made and wool for sure. I found it in my closet and put it against my cheek to check. It is itchy in the same way as other wool sweaters. It seems to be good quality. I have not used it very much as it is a bit wide and short.

I have no idea whether this sweater is legit, although it looks woolly enough from the picture. I don’t even know if there’s a market for fake ones.

But what you can do if the sweater is reasonably priced and you take the chance, is giving it the „burn test“. Turn it inside out and look for a bit of yarn in a seam or somewhere like it where you can chance giving it a tiny burn from a lighter without damaging the sweater. Smell the resulting smoke carefully: if it smells like burning hair, it is wool. If it smells like burning plastic, it’s synthetic or a synthetic blend.
