      Didn’t know being gay made you blind and deaf too. Also you wrote support for him after his conviction.

      He has been a cancer in British politics for decades. The faster he disappears from public life the better for everyone.

      Epstein was also accused of assaulting young men and Mandleson was staying in Epstein’s house after he was accused of being a pedo.

      Kevin Spacey tried to use this defence too.

      Bit of a own goal here he easily could have avoided and instead looks like a prick

      You don’t need to apologise for the association – if he didn’t know or was complicit in anything there’s no apology required

      But you can have and should have empathy with the victims and want justice

      The only possible reason left for the fact he’s been about to haunt the corridors of Westminster (and be re- legitimised by establishment media) despite being involved in scandal after scandal after scandal is he knows enough about people who are nonces.

      Why hang out with a guy who has convictions for that sort of thing? That can only make you look like there’s something you want from him.

      But in general I guess it is true that some people must have not been a part of the mess, just random friends who met the guy and weren’t in the know. A lot of guys will be wanting us to think it was them.

      Unfortunate for the genuine one-off guys who are now tainted, and pretty desperate from the criminals who actually did take part.

      First rule of British life: just apologise. The words cost nothing & often salvage 90% of what you care about. Do charity work. In 3 years, everyone will forget the issue because “you did the right thing.” And you’re good.
