I think attacks on Iran are unlikely right now. The government of Iran is in the process of collapsing. Iran has moved their gold out of the country to Russia.
What is more likely is this military movement is a just in case type thing. In case, things really go sideways in Iran during the collapse.
My prediction is the leadership is going to flee to Russia and never come back.

There’s supposedly an Israeli insider Polymarket account that’s betting big on the IDF invading Iran by January 31st. And this account has supposedly never lost, and they always bet on Israeli military stuff. Or something like that. I heard it on a stream I was watching last night and wasn’t really paying attention because I was cooking dinner. Do with that what you will, which may or may not mean anything at all.

Military strikes will occur if the riots in iran turn out to be more than it can handle, exhausting its security and basij forces. Once that occurs, then US can feel confident that it can achieve something, including ground warfare.
However, that has not occurred, and iran is in the process of cleaning up the rioters. It’s back to drawing board. Though US/Israel will use this opportunity to try and attack Hezbollah and Iraq while Iran is distracted. Again, this also relies on Iran’s defence forced being too distracted.
At this point I think we will just sit back and let itself play out. Maybe send some “care packages” to the protesters
