Jesus did obey the law. His whole point was Pharisees and Sadducees were corrupt valuing their vanity and power over the law and being hypocrites.
It’s disingenuous and frankly incorrect to draw a comparison to Jesus among the current state of things. It’s closer to factual to compare the Pharisees and Sadducees to the Democrats and Republicans. They are both being hypocrits on so many levels while claiming to be the arbitors of the law.
