It’s ALWAYS the marginal cases where it’s a grey areas the media focuses on that go viral, because they want to divide us
the problem is most people essentially want the same things but don’t agree on how to make them happen. Â
its incredibly difficult to actually accept the alternative point of view is equally valid. even most people who recognise the division are still blind to their bias.Â
it is incredibly easy to exploit this human nature cognitive bias if the intention is to cause division, anger, hatred etc.
if you are pro immigration try to actually appreciate and understand people who are anti immigration. if you’re anti immigration try to understand and appreciate why other people are pro immigration.Â
not just accept their opinion is different, not just tolerate it. but understand it, appreciate why it is valid and admit its merit.Â
pick any left v right topic and try to love the opposite of your belief.Â
it’s way harder than people pretend which is why we’re so easily divided.Â
People are divided on a wrong way. The one that matters is on honest and dishonest people. Not left or right.
It’s the current flavor of the week but that doesn’t mean people forgot about the Epstein files or the erosion of democracy.
Federal agents are shooting Americans. This is an important fight as well
