If it had gone down well with people, he’d have been all over it. Just goes to show that many in power are more preoccupied with image than actually solving problems.

Most senior officials tend to be in the public eye. Everyone from a principal officer upwards is listed on government websites. Is this a chairman, secretary general, an A. Sec or a Po. Whoever that official is is likely below
This video was the result of siloed thinking and isolation from external reality. It’s a real challenge for departments as they don’t even recognise their own blind spots.
There is no easy fix either because the solution is to broaden consultation for every decision which effectively stops decision making
