If you have the means; living there is almost like therapy for your mental health. There’s very little mental pressure from the government (at least not yet): no road tax, no random surprise bills, and pressure from Uncle Sam is basically very low.
It’s a very safe place honestly safer than many EU countries nowadays, let alone the US.
I almost never cook because it’s cheap to eat out all the time (at least for me). Breakfast + drinks for 4-5 people is usually around $22-27, maybe $30 max.
Almost nothing is planned (sometimes it is), which can be frustrating at first, but it’s actually a relief for your mental health. You just take things day by day and do whatever you feel like.
If you like hiking and nature, you’ll have a new place to hike or visit almost every week.
If you like the beach/sea and I don’t mean US or typical EU beaches, more like fancy Ibiza style ones you can drive 4-5 hours and spend the weekend in Albania/Montenegro. If you feel like it, you can also drive to Greece; in about 6–7 hours from Albania you can reach really nice places.
If you like sightseeing, you can drive to Dubrovnik, Kotor, and similar places.
If you like fancy dinners or going out, Prishtina is a solid place for that.
If you like raves or underground stuff, you’ll need some local friends in Prishtina (Boiler Room even took place there in 2019 I didn’t expect that).
If you like hot summers, it’s the right place.
If you like skiing and cold winters, it’s also the right place.

Pretty chill tbh
I’ve been living in Prishtina most my life.
The people are chill and approachable to talk to.
Albanians in general don’t really care about much and there plenty of good places in the city for whatever you enjoy.
If you like hiking there’s plenty of mountains you can climb and see nature.
It’s a safe place, I don’t wonder if im gonna get mugged or robbed.
I wouldn’t go back to a place like Germany like I had to back in 2007 when I was a child

It depends: if you are rich life is great.
If you are poor life is horrible in kosovo and also in the balkans.
High corruption.
Good quality of food.
Bad air quality. Not much bureaucracy.

If you have a job where you can work anywhere and earn good come to Kosova cheapest country ik Europe. Prishtina is good but if air of quality matters come to Prizren
