He makes a great point. We all lose the moment comedians turn into angered activists. Their message loses its impact and people stop listening to what’s being said because of how it’s being said. These are dark times.

    2. That’s a terrible headline. He made a reasonable, even handed critique. “Hits out” 🙄

Terrible mobile design from m.this website and reddit. Can’t even click ‚accept‘ because of the r/entertainment button in the way. God the reddit app fucking sucks.

What screaming trump comedians is he hitting out at?

But yeah he’s absolutely right, but even comedians are allowed to be private civilians with opinions they can voice in what ever way they want

“O’Brien noted that comedy „needs a straight line to go off of“ but said, „We don’t have a straight line right now. We have a very bendy, rubbery line.“ The TV host added that comics who constantly hit out at Trump risk losing their best weapon – being funny.

He shared, „Some comics go the route of I’m going to just say ‚F Trump‘ all the time or that’s their comedy. And I think well now, a little bit, you’re being co-opted because you’re so angry. You’ve been lulled.”

That article is shit. Here’s the important part. Regardless of your political affiliation, I think it’s a great point that nearly everyone can agree with.

We need more intelligent comedians like Conan in this world. Those that enjoy the craft and, as he said it, „Don’t get lulled“.

    7. I dunno, those cartoon folks at the late show completely destroyed him in the Christmas special.

The Trump administration makes the show Veep look like competence porn.

The problem is when comedians started viewing themselves as intellectuals

He’ll never come out and comment, but this makes me curious of what Conan thinks of Kimmell.
