Honestly not a bad impromptu shooting position given the situation

I some times wonder, if the people shooting at drones have been given any training in shooting at moving targets. I don’t mean that as a knock, but I was thinking recently of those old WWII bomber gunner training videos that would teach the gunners the best aiming angles for moving targets.
And in my own experience, many years ago now, the first time I had ever fired a shotgun, I was at my then GFs cousins wedding and for his „bacheoler“ party, I went with him, his dad and brother, my GFs dad, and some of their friends to an outdoor gun range. And one of the things we did was skeet shooting. I was the only one who had never fired a gun before. And I was also the only one to hit any of the discs while we were skeet shooting. I credit all the flight combat sims I played that taught me to lead the moving target.

„See, a PKM’s bipods are actually way slippier than people think, and there was that drone…“

These days the best way to protect yourself against drones or any flying equipment is against the ground. This actually would work
You see the shells? lol

Can someone give a brief rundown on why this situation has occurred?
I thought (several months out of the loop) that the Kurdish territories of north eastern Syria would be gradually integrated into a wider Syria and that both authorities were working together for de-escalation.
