I like the commitment but it was probably a complete waste of time.
Sophie Turner is gonna be Lara Croft? Yeah, that’s not gonna be good.
I want this to be good because I love Lara Croft, Camilla luddington really brought the character to life in the newest trilogy. I’m hoping this is going to be good. I still find it hard to see her as Lara, but once she has the right hair color and outfit, I’m hoping it will come together… I’m hoping.
Wonder if they will include yetis in the background details like they did in the early games

This immediately gives me Daniel Craig as bond vibes but I was wrong about Craig and enjoyed his Bond performances. This casting seems like a coin flip of success and hopefully her acting has improved.

Well on a positive note we are getting a new game and a remake of the original. I have zero faith in this project. Sophie is just not a good actress imho. Her Jean Grey was just not good or very meh. I can acknowledge the writing wasn’t great and far from it for that movie, but she could have been better with what she was given for the character.

You’d think they would try to snag Ella Purnell for the job considering she’s been in two of the best received video game adaptations, is british, can actually act and looks fairly like Lara Croft. I know her schedule is busy as fuck but she’d be perfect for it.

Daisy Ridley would’ve been way better. Heck why couldn’t have just gotten Hayley Atwell(who played her on the animated Netflix series) to reprise the role in live action.

I thought Phoebe Waller bridges was supposed to be some good director or whatever? How could she so badly screw up the casting.

I’m just going to say it, I felt Turner was the weakest actor on GoT. I felt her Jean Grey was bad. I don’t get the push to put in her a franchise.
Would love a Tomb Raider series but with Turner in the lead, I have little hope. I’ll give it a shot but this seems like a total mismatch.
