Honestly they don’t need the house, don’t let the federal government get involved in this investigation because they will either scuttle it or try to protect that murderer.
It can 100% be done by the state, they need to start actually protecting their citizens from the fed; the mayor needs to do more than performatively swear on camera, he needs to order the police to do their jobs. A citizen was murdered by a lawless federal agent and they just let him leave.
Republicans once again showing that they don’t care about law, justice, or American citizens.
This also further shows that they know the ICE agent fucked up. If he were in the right, they’d go for the investigation to show that he’s innocent.

Call me bonkers but in no way would investigating a death and a serious hospitalization (both sides affected) cause any fear to these people in ICE that they cannot do their jobs without being scrutinized for every action. They already appear to do as they please. If a death isn’t enough to vote for an investigation then I don’t know why they have any means to investigate anything at all.

Amazing that we hold police officers accountable and investigate them if there’s an officer involved shooting, but federal agents can shoot whoever they want without any consequences. It wouldn’t surprise me if the shooter got a raise or a bonus in addition to the high fives from his colleagues.
