So what on earth is this actually for? Genuinely cannot think of anything worse than giving this company any form of access to medical information, records etc.

Worth noting that they’re considering placing ads in ChatGPT, so enjoy being fed advertisements based on whatever ailment or concern you’ve queried on the app.

    2. I can’t emphasize this enough. DO NOT GIVE ANY AI ACCESS TO YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS!!!!

After the lawsuit forcing them to expose our chats? No thanks. Nobody should be trusting any AI company with their medical information.

Riiiiight. I’m gonna trust health advice from a software program that can’t even tell me how many letter Rs there are in the word “strawberry” and then doubles down in the wrong direction when called out on it.

I can’t believe i saw a fucking ad for this on youtube yesterday.

    6. Confirmation bias be like

Me: I feel like I might have cancer…

Chat: Yes! Good catch! You definitely have cancer!

Well, this would be really bad if tech bros with an obsession for breeding and eugenics exited. Wait, what?

Hahaha, FUCK NO! ChatGPT will just tell me that I have every cancer.

    9. This is just so, so irresponsible. As one might expect from the cavalier way OpenAI have behaved up to now.

    10. Look. I’m not a GenAI/LLM hater.

I do believe that it’s a useful tool for some things and it *will* be a part of our lives in the future, whether we like it or not, not only because it’s „forced“ upon us but because it will make life easier.

      Having said that,

**This is the one of the worst uses people give LLMs. Why would you want people to use them for that specific thing if you can’t do it reliably? And why would people trust ChatGPT with it???**

If you ask ChatGPT to diagnose your medical issues it will insist that it can’t diagnose your medical issues but it will then try to diagnose your medical issues.

    12. Expect that one way or another they are going to attempt to obtain people’s records without their consent.

    13. As someone who works in the NHS (public) healthcare AI space – do not use this sort of function. Tell your friends and family as well.

When we roll out AI (very slowly!) we have to meet stringent regulations, tools can not be utilised with identifiable patient data and we have informed consent requirements. You signing up for this function is telling OpenAI you are consenting to them using your data any way they see fit. It’s a bad idea and you should not do this.

What… A… Absolutely terrible idea. And how many millions of people are going to be idiots and do it. This… Is literally dystopian.

    15. That’s gonna be a no from me dawg. There’s going to be so many people who do it though.
