      I heard about this story yesterday was it? I was shocked then, but understanding how this could happen in the heat of the moment.

      What I know now is that it took over 3 weeks to be revealed! I’m absolutely horrified.

      They were raising money for the wrong victims funeral! Those poor families! How on earth could something like this happen.

      *a statement, Joshua’s family said: “From the moment we were told about the collision in December, ourselves and many loved ones have spent hours in hospital with who we now know to be Trevor*

      I don’t know who needs to be sacked for this, but something must be done.

      Bleakly human. In the wreckage of a crash, two young men were indistinguishable. Belongings muddled, faces altered through trauma sustained in the accident and not possible to identify via the usual superficial ‚look over‘ , neither able to speak, the authorities guessed and got it terribly wrong. 

      The mistake was only discovered (and rectified) when the survivor woke up and named himself. The medical staff alerted the authorities and family.

      Both families now need answers in addition to a a bit of care and support. One was grieving a son they hadn’t actually lost – the other – keeping a constant vigil in a hospital corridor for a son they’d already lost. 

      Awful.

      What I don’t understand is how none of the deceased’s family visited the survivor and noticed he wasn’t the right guy.
