Ich habe kürzlich herausgefunden, dass ich eine Wurzelbehandlung durchführen lassen muss, und der Preis könnte mich vor der Karies umbringen.
Es tut mir weh, 2500 PLN für die Nachbehandlung meines Backenzahns (Unterkiefer Nr. 6) auszugeben.
Ich denke darüber nach, eine Stunde mit dem Zug von Warschau entfernt zu fahren, um in einer kleinen Stadt, die etwa 50.000 oder weniger Einwohner hat, Zahnbehandlungen zu machen.
Ist das eine verrückte Idee?
Wie viel kann ich sparen?
Ist es realistisch, für die gleiche Behandlung etwas für 1500 PLN zu finden?

I mean you surely can find someone even in Warsaw for less than 2500. I would never pay 2500 for a re-treatment
Cheaper specific place is way more important than general location. If it’s really that bad in Warsaw just come to Lublin for a lot of choice and much better prices.
Also maybe prices take shot up lately but I got an implant for that price lol
If it’s just root canal treatment, you can easily find it for like 1500pln, but re-treatments can get more expensive if there are some complications.
Also depends on how much of your tooth is left. If it needs a dental crown, it will be expensive. Even more so than 2500
The problem with living in one place and doing dental work in another, especially complicated and multivisit one, like root canal is that the process tend to get messy and might require sudden, unplanned visits. It’s hard to manage if you need to travel for couple of hours to get it taken care of.
Also, regarding the price check the medical university dental clinic.
I am reminded of a moment some years ago sitting in the office of my Berlin dentist, looking at x-rays of work done in San Francisco and in St. Petersburg. In question was a root canal the quality of which left something to be desired, and the result of which would be a bridge, installed in Berlin and the functionality of which I enjoy to this day. We looked at the contrast of the image on the x-ray. I said „I had that one done in St. Petersburg“.
„Ah“, replied my dentist.
And I had the tooth extracted, and a bridge installed.
My friend, had I known at the time, I would have paid a few € more and had quality work done.
Small towns have lower prices but also often not the best doctors as well. But in general I would do the same, find a cabinet in closer mid-size town, easy accessible and the job there.
Tomorrow I will ask my doctors how much this may cost in Poznan, just to compare.
