He was allowed to take his workplace smartphone internationally on a private trip? It appears not everyone who says they follow the rules, actually follows the rules.
Damn that’s too bad.
Now I am not gonna cook up conspiracy theories like most „China bad, PLA intentionally targeted him and stole“, but I am gonna blame the guy for carrying such an important thing while on a „private trip“.
Also, why not have employees be required to return their devices to the office before they leave? Keeping them in a single secured storage and allowing access only during work hours reduces the risk, isn’t it?

Says he’s involved in nuclear security. Not sure why China would want that info since Japan has no nuclear weapons. It being „lost“ at airport security is suspicious though.
