This is not bizarre at all. He genuinely thinks that it is his holy mission to annex Ukraine, and has never said otherwise, so those who still think they can get him to sign a peace treaty or even a ceasefire should stop losing their time, because this will not happen as long as Ukraine isn’t capable of turning the tide of the war in their favour. It’s baffling that some people are still surprised by these kinds of speeches 4 years after the start of the war.
