    1. A few days ago, I noticed on my planning app that the first full moon of the year would align with the Eiffel Tower and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica from a spot I had previously scouted.

Despite the cold and the snow in the morning, the weather forecast for Paris was cloudless, so I decided to give it a try.

This image was taken with a 150–600mm lens at 500mm. The Eiffel Tower was 6.3 km away from my position, and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica 11.1 km away, which explains why the Moon appears so large in the frame.

Sigh! This is really lovely! It almost looks fake, but I choose to believe it’s not. This would make a centerpiece poster.

      Thank you for posting this.

Great shots and exposure. As a supermoon too? Looks great love the colour of it at its highest

      Fortunate the weather cooperated too!

Can you please share a hi res version of this? This would be a gorgeous wallpaper

    5. Why does the moon look like it’s vertically squashed? Honest question, just never noticed this before in these kinds of pics.

I was gonna say that must be one hell of a long lens to get the Eiffel tower and Sacré-Cour in the same image. 600mm oughta do it.

    7. J’adore vos photos. Elles sont toujours uniques et impressionnantes. Vous m’inspirez à améliorer mes compétences en photographie. Bravo!

STUNNING how you captured both Sacre Couer and La Tour Eiffel! I got to see both of them (from each other as well as close up) for the first time in 2025 so this picture really resonates! First time I saw Eiffel Tower was from Sacre Couer. I couldn’t stop crying with joy!

Well put it back then, we need that!

Bloody fools going around capturing the bloody moon.

    12. We don’t often think about it, but the moon, at least for me, is majestic. In its different phases, it reminds us how vast the universe is.

You know, this actually got me wondering…

How would having multiple moons change things for the Earth? Or would nothing change, aside from seeing multiple moons in the sky?

Very roughly, how is something like this made?

What do you do with the camera? What is the raw output (a single image/many image/other)? What software is used? And what needs to be done with that software?

This is a very eye catching photo.
What time of day was it taken? How did you get the timing ‘just right’?
