It’s not recognised as such but it’s also – accidentally- one of the most successful regime change operations in South America, prompting a victory for Argentinian democracy

    3. How can it be called European Overseas territory when its literally in the border of Argentina.

If Albania somehow conquers Chile can they call it European Overseas territory?

I hope that today, we will be able to defend a European overseas territory from a fascist junta’s invasion of Greenland.

Yeah, boys in uniform can’t compare to the mightiest army the world has ever seen. If el Trumpo attacks Greenland, there’s no defence we can mount. We must act now in many areas including political centralisation, economic and strategic independence, military boost… all whilst dealing with internal national politics, economic pressure from china and the us, the threat of automation and IA and war at our doors.

      Sheesh is looking bleak.

    6. British territory! Which was stolen from Argentina. Islas Malvinas siempre Argentinas! (Argentina’s junta had to distract citizens from huge economical problems)

    7. My older cousins were in the British army and went over there. I still have a military sweatshirt one of them gave me from it. A cool little piece of history.

Come on, we had colour photographs and jump jets in the 80s, surely there is a better picture

Even if the OP didn’t intend it, the photo hints at the current situation with Greenland. But will the Europeans truly be able to stand their ground?

*a British overseas territory, I doubt I’ll ever hear a Brit calling the Falklands „European“.
