Such a waste of money. They will have to raise taxes or sell off parts of Malta to afford this
The funny part is that this is limited to 200 drivers only. We register more cars than that in 1 month.
I trust there is a fund that is fully funded by whichever idiot came up with this scheme that will cover any damages incurred by the newly unlicensed and uninsured reckless drivers on our road.
Honestly, the fact they limited it to just up to 30 years is quite a restriction. Considering the majority of the workforce are those over 30…
All they had to do was force some of the older folks to retake a test and take their license away as they aren’t in a condition to drive.
if you want to get the license back after 30 do you need to retake the exam?
Personally I think the money would be better spent doing extra police stops after midnight to catch drunk/drug drivers, would take some of most dangerous drivers off the roads
i think its a good thing overall, not sure on what has been released so far but i think it would be more beneficial if the target audiences were 60+ people aka people with slow reflexes
