Weighing the basket when measuring the weight of the crab is ridiculous I agree but how are you supposed to eliminate water weight from a crab? They live in the water and are constantly being soaked in it/drinking it. Unless the vendors are injecting the crabs with extra water that accusation seems a bit odd.
