The US helped Europe out through its fascist crises and helped shield us from Russia for decades, we should be open to helping them in return. I say this as an American proudly living in Europe for 16 years. Europe needs to ask it’s self, what does the US really do for you, what do you get out of it? The answer is not much, maybe some security agreements in the past. Those are gone and I doubt they will ever come back and even if they did come back the American population has shown that it is so fickle it only takes 1 election to pull those promises away. It’s time to make yourself a global power not to be fucked with. 20th Century belonged to America, now make the 21st Century yours.

Retired military need to all come out with the same message: that an order to take Greenland would be an illegal order and should not be followed. Put republicans in congress and force a vote on a bill that explicitly prohibits an attack or annexation of any sort. If republicans refuse, then it’s crystal clear their intentions, and Democrats should shut the government down end of January. Stop funding this monster. It’s the only way.
The current American monster could never have existed without so many decades of European subservience. Europe should always have been counterbalance to American power.

As an Austrlaian in my late 20s I have accepted I’ll never get a chance to go to the US. With everything collapsing in it it feels about as safe going to Russia or Saudi Arabia as an openly gay man.
It’s sickening to see a one great ally turn into a feral, child SAing beast. I admire the EU in so many ways, but it’s absolutely pathetic that the EU with 400 million people and $19 TN in GDP is reliant on the US to repel an attack from Russia–a corrupt nation with 144 million people and just $2 TN in GDP.
Like what do they want us to do in practice? The USA government can banish people from moden world by forcing the fintech, banks, and technology companies shitlist people – like they already did with the judges that forced fines on Twitter – and they are excluded from internet and banking for good. And EU is still totally dependant on USA technologyn and software, and our companies are slow and unwilling to understand that they need to shift… whether it is FreeBSD, Linux, or god damn back to pen and paper, we can’t trust USA anymore. Just like we couldn’t trust Russia in terms of energy. And we knew that Russia was unreliable! We know USA is unrealiable!
