Imagine how sadly funny it be if Ukraine finally is given the greenlight to join Nato then the next day US takes Greenland ending NATO

Don’t threaten Trump with a good time. Throw in some cash, a trophy, and a couple of 13 year olds, he will be there tomorrow.

  3. And the end of NATO will mean a total collapse of the US arms industry as the EU will move away from all of that crap that has an off switch.

I don’t think Trump sees this as a problem. European leaders are still acting like Trump can be reasoned with rationally, when Trump has literally turned the US into a rogue state overnight.

The reality of the situation is that Greenland in January is not an easy place to get to even with the largest military force in the world. It turns out that the vast majority of the arctic warfighting capability in NATO sits with the U.K., Canada and Nordic countries. If it came to a shooting war Greenland is not where it would be happening. It would be around US bases in Europe and the suburbs of Vancouver and Toronto.

If this ends up happening, I hope they have a backup plan to make an European alliance without the US, else this is just like playing to Putin’s hands.

  7. Isn’t that what the Putin wants? End NATO…
Strange that Krasnov is moving that direction…

  8. The United States making the case as to why every nation should have it’s own nukes.

It’s almost like someone was planning for that all along. Now, who would benefit most from NATO ending? Perhaps someone who has an interest in invading and taking over Europe?

  10. Just like Putin wishes.

Incredible how Trump administration always does what Putin would have wanted. What a coincidence!

  11. Why are we waiting till USA attacks to end NATO? USA clearly arent our ally anymore. Kick them from their bases in Europe.

I think thats Putins goal. Trump will do anything to make sure he makes Putin happy. The dirt on him must be damning.

    Release the Epstein files!

Within 1 year Trump has turned the US into the ENEMY of Europe. Read that again.

  14. I mean, the US taking Greenland would mean a complete suspension of trade with a Europe, plugging the US into the worst depression in it’s history.

It would mean war on Europe with all its consequences such as Trump, his family, or anyone in his government and their families would never be able to step on a European soil without being arrested, and all their and US state and corporate properties including bank accounts in Europe confiscated. Is Greenland worth it?

  16. Time to wake the fuck up Americans! If you think this is not your problem to fix you are delusional and the consequences if you allow these idiots to continue will be severe. That’s not a threat, it’s logical deduction but all intelligence seems to be absent.

Never again stating the plan from the beginning. Even these oligarchs want the EU gone too because they are tired of being told you can’t do whatever they want. Same with all their various “party times” they are like: “I shall live forever and these drugs say I can.”

NATO was dead the moment Trump came to power for the 2nd time. When USA is casting doubt on article 5, NATO isnt worth much.

And with USA now threatening Europe with military force (the threats on Greenland is exactly that).

Also, never forget the two hour meeting between Trump and Putin in Finland with only a Russian interpreter present, and the meeting in Alaska. I’m sure Europe is caught in the middle of two rogue contries who cooperate much more than publicly known.

How else can you explain the weak stand against Putin, the kidnapping of Maduro, and the threats against other sovereign countries? I mean, what is says is, Russia, China, do as you please. With the USA having no morale high ground to stand on, (it wasnt especially high to begij with, but still), they cant critizie Russia or China for invading another country.
And I wouldnt be surprised if this the reason behind all this, not Epstein.

  19. Chewbacca319 on

If trump does actually go after Greenland, by any means, this is going to be the line in the sand moment of our generation.

If any other country in NATO did this article 5 would be engaged and that country would be engaged, however since America has the strongest military in the world and still is the world’s first most superpower (even if China is catching up) no one would dare directly retaliate at them.

If Greenland is taken or gone to war with all ties to Europe are over. New Zealand and Australia probably too and puts Canada in a very tough position. I feel that Canada and by extension Canadians would be against it and want to support Greenland but at the same time they share a border with the US and making a hostile enemy out of the states would be a death wish

Trump truly has fucked the United States

  20. I keep wondering what would happen to all the US bases and personnel in Europe if they annexed Greenland. Do we ask them to leave? What if america says no? Do our militaries surround these bases until they leave? Trump would love those scenes on US tv to try blaming Europe for any further acts.

Are there any historical instances of such interwoven alliances breaking down?

  21. not at all a reason for Trump to reconsider. He would then just blame Denmark for the NATO demise.

  22. Jumpy-Stress603 on

The end of NATO is what Trump & his boss are praying for, except, of course, they don’t pray. Trump’s loyalty to Putin is admirable.

  23. Alternate reading: „Denmark says U.S. attack on Greenland would allow Trump to end NATO like he wants without needing that annoying Congressional approval.“ I don’t know what PM Frederiksen is trying to accomplish, but promising a „two birds with one stone“ return on investment for Trump and his insane cabinet isn’t the deterrent that she thinks it is. Threatening a complete loss of European markets to the US and an immediate seizure of all Trump properties, including his precious golf courses, everywhere in Europe would be much more effective.
