  1. UN makes statement on a country being annexed…. Looks like my work is done

  2. The United States, essentially, did what Russia is trying to do to Ukraine.

Two war criminals, working together to become world dictators.

Americans crying when the world points out that they’re an evil empire

No one likes Maduro but Americans remain determined to violate everyone else’s self determination to get some more oil again

  4. It was already set a long time ago with Panama. Hell even recently Russia tried to do the same (but failed) with Ukraine’s Zelensky at the beginning of their war.

  5. If the precedent is that dictators will be removed from power, then it’s a good precedent. Dictatorships are all illegitimate. They have no right to rule. Democracy is the only legitimate form of government because it is the only type of government that has the consent of the governed.

That can’t be legal. How can the United States just take over and run another country like a medieval conquer?!?

Look, I know I’m a 50-year-old man, but that dude’s older than me. And I distinctly remember a precedent to this action.

Manuel Noreiga and Nicolas Maduro share more than a little in common.

    Get a grip on yourself.

    Sets dangerous precedent?

Disposing and getting involved in Latin/South American affairs has always been US precedent.

So perhaps this is the reason why Trump admin is soft on Russia . So they put Russia in such a situation such that Russia cant help venezuela and if did so Trump will send lethal weapons to ukraine just like them. ( there might be some secret talk behind it) .

The UN that took action after Putin’s invasion of Georgia? Putin’s invasion of Crimea? Putin’s invasion of Ukraine?

A lot of people are also forgetting, no congressional approval, no warning to other countries who may have citizens in Venezuela during a time that could now spiral and cause loss of life. He’s playing as if the rules just don’t apply to him and if anyone wants to enforce them then they are in the crosshairs as well, and he will sacrifice anyone to prove his resolve. The only ones who play by that set of alternative rules are dictators. Russia, Nazi Germany, both acted the same way that Trump is acting right now. And republicans in congress are just sitting there allowing it.

  12. More powerful entities have been doing this to weaker entities since caveman times. Enforce the rules or shut up.

„Dangerous precedent?“ This is not the first nor will it be the last US invaded another country at the whim of president.

As if the U.S. hasn’t been setting dangerous precedents every day for the past year.

Like always, UN’s words are full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

  16. The Reddit consensus seems to be they would rather the people of Venezuela suffer than Trump be the one to remove Maduro and possibly be the catalyst in saving Venezuela

Really sick and tired of living in this goddamn decade where “dangerous precedents” are constantly CONSTANTLY being set by the US and their pedo Hitler shitbag

  18. The problem with ANY superpower country is that they can do what they like. And no country is immune to being seized by a combination of greed, dishonesty, and stupidity.

  19. You don’t say!?!

The US have with this unprecedented kidnapping of the head of state of another country placed themselves among the roque states of the world counting with Russia, North Korea and the like.
Your ability to do something doesn’t give you the right to do it.

If only other countries would extra-judicially kidnap a certain other world leader for human trafficking and pedophilia and try him…
