„A former Labour councillor has pleaded guilty to a series of sexual offences targeting a 13-year-old girl.
Liron Woodcock-Velleman, 30, sent naked photographs of himself to his teenage victim.
He admitted one count of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
The 30-year-old also pleaded guilty to attempting to cause a child aged 13 to 15 to view sexual imagery.
His defence barrister Ali Hussain told the court his client suffers from depression and takes medication for the condition.“
„He is a person of good character. He is currently unemployed. He is a family man,“ Mr Hussain said.“
Surprisingly, I can’t seem to find any reference to this being reported by any other news source. I’m also not a fan of the depression caused sex crimes, excuse. It seems to be a go-to line in recent cases.
In any case, this is a labour councillor engaged in nonce behaviour whilst in office, it warrants greater attention.
Gosh it’s like every time I blink there’s a new nonce in the news.
This is GB news, so is this “Labour bad” or “You can’t even ask a question without being locked up”?
Going to assume that the headline doesn’t tell the whole story on this one. Because, yes, asking a 13 year old if they are a virgin is technically a sex crime, but…
Why does the headline seem to try downplay the crime? In the article it says he sent explicit pictures, why isn’t that in the headline?
If he sent naked pics of himself by text I imagine it would have been awkward to try to run any defence.
I wonder whether his solicitor facepalmed or just laughed.
This is beyond disgusting.
I wonder why GB News didn’t relentlessly report such similar disgusting behaviour by Conservatives Reform U.K. councillors….🤔
I’m sick of seeing ‘depression’ used as an excuse by the defence for these sewer rats. Depression doesn’t make you a nonce.
