      That’s the problem with this military operation. It wasn’t done to free Venezuela, it was done so that Trump could turn it into a resourse colony.

      I have to say, there’s something almost admirable about Trump’s complete lack of tact. Any other US president would talk about restoring freedom and democracy in Venezuela; Trump just comes right out and says, „I only care about the oil.“

      The goal is to replace the oil they get from Canada with Venezuelan oil. That way, they can more easily coerce the Canadians.

      So, not even pretending that there was some sort of just reason for this. 

      Financial interests of private companies is now de facto justification for military intervention is stated US policy.

      Trump said that the US will govern Venezuela until a proper transfer of power can be achieved.

      So what I take away incl some of my assumptions from his speech is:

      Venezuelans living there will not be free. He will sell out everything to his oil company buddies.

      People who aren’t desired in the US could be deported to Venezuela.

      For as long as a GOP government is in power, it is unlikely that Venezuela will ever bei a free country again.

      I hope people on the Untied States know, this will not make gas any cheaper.  All of that oil goes on the world market, not directly to the United States.

      Not even going to pretend that he did it for a just reason like “freeing the people of Venezuela from a tyrant”? Just straight going to come out and say “yea, we are forcing regime change so we can control the natural resources coming from the country”?

      This whole operation seemed pretty limited to just securing Maduro and removing him from the country. My understanding is the regime is still in power with the vice president acting his head of state. Is Trump signalling there’s more to come to push actual regime change? Cause I don’t see the current regime allowing US involvement in their oil.

      Ok, and will the U.S. be involved in building a or allowing the venezuelian people to build their own nation and use the oil money to educate and improve the lives of the venezualian people like Saudi Arabia or is this going to be like the Banana Republic or Putin’s aspirations in Ukraine? You know free education, healthcare, housing, and anything else they need? Because it is Their oil under current ideals of National Boarders set in motion over thousands of years to define territory of nations and honoring those territories integrity which today include not just physical boarders but a broader scope of what that means considering the capabilities of international capabilities as it pertains to communication and mobility.

      For people who don’t know. Venezuela has the largest oil reserves outside of Saudi Arabia. Venezuela also tried to stop using the petrodollar. Same as Iraq and Libya.

      God, the corruption is nauseating. Your healthcare, child subsidies, food subsidies and education are too expensive, but we can spend billions bombing countries, engaging in maritime extrajudicial slayings, piracy, deporting brown people, importing white “victims” of a fictional genocide, deploying military personnel in our cities, and stripping the constitutional rights of anyone not deemed “American enough”. Not to mention all the time, money and resources waisted covering up the Epstein scandal.

      I lament the consequences of war. Those who seek war, first seek to divide. Have members of your own family been divided over politics? My answer is yes.

      We have decisions to make. If those you support promote division and the ostracism of those unlike them, you contribute to the dilemma that we must all come to lament the consequences of war sooner or later, wether or not we supported the division in the first place.

      I seek candidates who aim to unite under the goal of equality in the eyes of the law, and a general philosophy that a government is obligated to protect and defend its Constitution; not rip it to shreds, or amend it to the point that it’s no longer recognizable.

      Corporations are not people. Money does not have rights, but that’s what they’d have us think. The time to wake up is long past due.
