The absolute irony of Ukraine supporting it and Russia opposing it lmao.

Edit: yes I understand the geopolitics, I know why both states have the position they do. You don’t need to be there 20th of person to explain in the replies, I knew that before posting my comment. The geopolitical context doesn’t make it any less hypocritical of both states.

      … Ukraine likes it?

Is it cause Trump is as temperamental as a 5 year old, because Maduro was helping run russian oil sanction busting operations, or a third more sinister thing?

Trump said this morning the US is gonna “run” Venezeula. Does that mean 51st state?

    4. RebelStrategist on

America cannot take care of their own people, but they are now going to run Venezuela? That’s laughable.

    5. Deathroll92 on

All of this just to hide the fact that the US is a country run by pedophiles and rapists.

What matters is the opinion of the average Venezuelan, and how many of you can read straight from the sources in the Spanish language?

    7. Average mexicans love the toppling of Maduro, it’s just our presidentA who despises it, because her patron is next….

Ukraine supporting the USA. LMAOOO they’re doing everything to suck up to trump so he keeps sending weapons

    9. portugal’s stance is the same as rhe UKs. condemns unilateral action and agrees maduro needed to go.

    10. Canada won’t say anything in opposition. Too much going on with trade negotiations and annexation threats. Carney will express the need for restraint and stop at that

Russias strong condemnation of one country invading another speaks volumes here

    12. Where does Norway’s response land?

„The developments in Venezuela mark a dramatic escalation of an already very tense situation. It is now crucial that the facts about what has happened come to light,“ the minister told Reuters.

„The Maduro regime lacks democratic legitimacy. Despite the 2024 election showing that the regime no longer had the support of the majority of the population, Maduro has clung to power. The regime has become increasingly authoritarian and is responsible for extensive human rights violations.

„International law is universal and binding for all states. The American intervention in Venezuela is not in accordance with international law.

„A peaceful transition to democratic rule is the only viable path in Venezuela. This requires inclusive political processes that respect the rights of the population.“

He had to have broken international law, not that he cares, but wonder if he had broken US law. Western leaders wilt say a thing either- pathetic

      Recap of Italian Position:

Italy reaffirmed its support for a democratic transition in Venezuela, condemned repression by the Maduro government, whose electoral victory it does not recognize, and stated that while it opposes external military intervention, it considers defensive action against hybrid threats to national security, including those linked to state actors involved in narcotrafficking, to be legitimate.

So should be like „Mildly Supports“

    15. Fan_of_Clio on

So countries that want to suck up to the US are the only ones supporting it. Got it

    16. CharmingTurnover8937 on

Nobody should be backing this, regardless of their views on Maduro. We must not return to the old ways of annexation and puppeting nations through force.

It isn’t ok just because the ‚Good guys‘ have done it.

    17. Macron play a dangerous game by opposing both Trump and Putin, even if he is right, France will end up isolated on the international stage.

    18. Small update, Albania and Kosovo have both announced their support of the United States.

    19. Russia condemning USA is a definition of hypocrisy. They invaded Ukraine with an actual army and are killing civilians, targeting blocks, hospitals and schools

    20. idratherbecanoeing on

This is bullshit. People are celebrating the fall of that Monster , except those in the drug trade or avowed communists. He destroyed any quality of life for Venezuelans and is responsible for distributing narcotics and exporting terror.

    21. Does Ukraine support this solely as it weakens the Russia-Venezuela oil/weapons pipeline? Does this infact do that or conversely makes demand for Russia oil stronger with countries losing Venezuela pipeline?

    22. Ukraine supporting usa and israeli genocide (yes google it) is wild. If its done to them they cry but they dont care for others, hell they dont even care for their own soldiers. Its all just money from the west that is in their interest. And no i dont support putin
