Ok. Now we riot.
That sucks. It’s one of the few books I always wanted a movie of and never got.
Netflix drops the ball yet again.
Didn’t they say it’s ‚No longer at‘ Netflix? They could be taking it to Paramount.
Making The Talisman would require Game of Thrones like budget, paired with break-neck production turnaround time due to Jack’s age as to avoid the natural aging appearance that usually comes for a child his age. I imagine the show would take 2-3 seasons to tell the story and if it took a year at least to do one season, Jack going from 12 to 15 years old would really seems out of place for a story that is essentially only 1 year of his life. Animation is better suited for a story of this scale.
They need to get approval for the WB deal
Similar to The Dark Tower in that it would be a huge & expensive undertaking to properly film because of all the disparate (and fantastical) locations.

Probably had to make room on their schedule for Meghan Markle’s next MegaFLOP!
HBO is always the better choice for adaptations anyway. Screw Netflix.
