“Those who are determined to be ‘offended’ will discover a provocation somewhere. We cannot possibly adjust enough to please the fanatics, and it is degrading to make the attempt.”

      ― Christopher Hitchens

The right wing is just all latching on to a „thing“. They are lemmings.

just because you had to pay for your lips and your stylist doesn’t know anything about fashion doesn’t mean you should take it out on someone else.

    3. Mikethebest78 on

I just hope no one wears a tan suit or puts the wrong kind of mustard on a hamburger.

    4. Politics reporting in 2026, in a nutshell.

It’s like the national enquirer from 1985 without elvis, bigfoot, Trump, a princess, or a woman’s weight on the front page.

    5. The amount of outrage – or manufactured outrage – by people that don’t understand fashion is INFURIATING.

If someone wears something in a photoshoot, 99% of the time it is provided by the stylist and often borrowed from the designer or PR showroom, and not owned by the personality wearing it.

Red carpet looks are usually borrowed. If she’s working with a stylist, there’s a very good chance that these are borrowed as well.

“Lip filler costs generally range from $500 to $1,500 per syringe, with the average being around $700-$900, depending on the filler type (like Juvéderm or Restylane), the injector’s expertise, your location, and how many syringes you need for your desired results, with many people using one to two syringes.“

How do we make them stop? So many wrongs here. Boots are in general expensive. This is one of the most special occassions in her life. She has confirmed they were borrowed. Why are they filled with so much hate and jealousy. Can someone make them stop?!!

    8. Talk about accessories…. Girl you’re having babies with someone 30 years older than you. You’re no more than a pair of free boots.

    9. ViolettaQueso on

      Good god. Pathetic.
You’ve also got Fox News women like Lara Trump saying “no food, no drinks?” At the really cool for nyc inauguration.

These are not real people. They are babies raised by iPads.

    10. „isn’t your boss credibly accused of multiple rapes, including underage girls?“

The same Karoline Leavitt that got flak for wearing a $1600 Gucci watch during press briefings? That Karoline Leavitt?

    12. thesagaconts on

She knows what she’s doing. She’s controlling the talking points. Instead of talking about healthcare, housing, these bullshit Trump memorial, etc.

    13. These people scared of the big bad „Socialist“ word completely lack any critical thinking skills at all.

Democratic Socialists aren’t fucking antimaterialist monks who aren’t allowed to have nice things. What they believe in is if you can afford to BOTH have nice things AND pay into a strong social support system, you better fucking pay into the strong social support system too instead of just hoarding more wealth.

She is so petty and nasty! This is mean girl bullshit, and beneath someone in a senior level White House position!

If I was a reporter I would be asking her whose shoes she’s wearing when she’s at a formal event, then clarify if they’re hers or someone else’s

    16. This reminds of when MAGA thoughtAOC brought her own wardrobe to a magazine photoshoot and got mad that her suit was expensive lol

    17. OtherUserCharges on

Lol, they scream at you if you don’t dress up and then they scream if you dress up too much.

    18. This is the tan suit all over again!  Plus these aren’t Latin American socialists who will give up living in the executive palaces, reducing their salaries to match the poor or refusing to use credit cards.  It’s New York City for goodness sake, the Mecca of capitalism.  As long as the city gets free daycare, let them flash the fancy attire.

    19. MountnWookie on

The hypocrisy is her wearing the cross while spewing hate and intolerance.

    20. AlsoCommiePuddin on

The correct response is, „Leavitt can worry about clothes, we are going to worry about working for the people of New York.“

    21. They said the boots were like $670? I know broke rednecks with lucchese and russel boots worth more than that.

    22. PatSajaksDick on

I don’t understand, are socialists not allowed to own or buy things?

    23. As opposed to Republicans who make it very clear they have zero interest in helping others and are happy to rub it in your face while they steal your money, wear Gucci and laugh at your poverty.

    24. Umami-Ice-Cream on

If she’d worn cheap clothes, they’d cry.

If she’d worn a sack, they’d call her classless and complain about the sack.

If she’d worn fur, they’d all suddenly be conservationists.

If she’d worn nothing, they’d scream about „the children.“

If she hadn’t gone, they’d have judged her for not being there.

Something that’s made me stop caring about the crying is how often they do it. And over everything.

I honestly used to take Republican crying seriously. And then, when they won everything last year, and immediately threw their „values“ aside it finally became clear to me that they never actually cared. And it was always just manipulation.

I won’t believe Republican crying ever again.

    25. hopefaith816 on

Are we really serious right now? We’re upset about some borrowed boots? Karoline Leavitt is the last person to criticize anyone about anything they’re wearing, doing, or saying. She needs to sit down somewhere and be quiet. This Administration doesn’t even understand the definition of ‚affordability.‘ WOW!

    26. Oh my god it’s the tan suit all over again. Does malaria have a “respectable republican cloth coat”.

    27. >They want New Yorkers to hand over more than half their income to the government – while she wears designer boots worth your weekly paycheck.

      >“Classic Communists – rules for you, but not for them.

Setting aside that the boots were on loan through her stylist… since when did the wealthy paying their fair share mean they can’t also have nice things?

    28. Always looking for a narrative that will enrage their low-minded voter base.

Your guy is a kid diddler. You lost.

    29. They’re acting like she wore a pair of Ferraris on her feet. In actuality, they cost about the same as a PS5. The horror.

These people gush about a guy in a diaper who used to rape children. Nothing they utter is valuable in any way.

    30. HeroOfVimar on

Socialism doesn’t mean you can’t have nice things.

It means everyone can have nice things, not just the elite.
