The Kennedy Center has put a perplexing PR spin on the abysmal ratings for the latest TV broadcast of the Kennedy Center Honors, hosted by Donald Trump.
Ratings for the event, broadcast on CBS, were historically low. Viewership was down 25% from the previous year with only 3 million viewers.
The publicist for the Kennedy Center blamed Democrats for the fact Americans didn’t want to watch Trump – who plugged the event on his social media – or the selection of antique talent.
This year’s honorees at the MAGA-fied venue was filled with Trump-friendly artists, Sylvester Stallone, Gloria Gaynor, KISS and Michael Crawford.
Roma Daravi, VP of public relations for the Kennedy Center, blamed the low ratings on “far-left bias” in a statement to The Daily Beast.
“It’s because of the radical anti-suckass bias!”
