    1. I like how this is the final straw even though there has been shitloads of fraud in other sectors. But hey, who gives a shit right?

      That wasn’t hot enough news

Seriously though, in the event of mass non compliance; would banks not side with government and just deduct it from accounts?

Completely hypothetical and no one knows the correct answer but that would seem most likely IMO.

Hypothetically speaking, what would actually happen if like 75 – 80% of Americans stopped paying taxes?

Everyone will pay taxes… All these yelling people say but in the end they always do..

I haven’t paid taxes in 7 years. I just get letters that I ignore. I think they’re bluffing tbh. Like nothing is coming of it. Just a letter every month or so. I don’t think they can enforce taxes, and it’s like those red light tickets from private companies you get in the mail that you can ignore.

The better way to do this is a bank run. Move all your digital money out and buy physical gold and silver, which is not traceable by the government. When banks hit liquidity crunches, there will be a crisis.

Hello, I hope y’all know that they’re trying to take the attention away of from Israel and Ukraine taking billions every year from us. They literally get a check as soon as they land in the airport they get way more than anyone else in welfare in this country also, so that’s why they’re trying to change the narrative.

    8. I mean I’d probably skip taxes over things like Israel and Epstein first but hey at least she found her line

    9. I haven’t paid any payroll taxes in 5 years now it feels great!! Luckily I have an all cash job, I say fuck em!!

Taxation is theft iv been screaming this for ever. Please do not tease me with a good time i am ready for thr Boston tea party 2.0

    11. Logistically, if you make under 400k you can probably go your whole life without filing and get nothing more than a letter in the mail. You literally arnt worth the resources to go after.

That said, if you want to never worry about selling property, getting flagged in a background check, or having your pay docked someday by the government. You should probably just pay.

How, realistically, can we start a movement to not pay taxes this year? Can we not all just agree not to, even if only a portion of the country does it it’ll send a message and be too many of us to go on a crusade for. Idk, we literally have the power to change things we’re all just too afraid to do it because what if nobody else does?

American living outside the USA. Americans who earn money abroad and spend more than 300 days/year overseas are tax exempt over $120k/year.

I haven’t paid taxes in over 5 years in America and am super grateful about it.

And, much to our surprise – it seems that wage garnishment has begun for student loan debt. My wife’s first check this year was knocked 30%!

      Fuck that.

I write of almost everything. I have a steady job as a touring FoH engineer for a wel established musician and also work as a contractor picking up gigs at a local venue when I’m not on tour. Since I’m also a contractor I write off my house, car, phone, internet, food, ect… I usually go from owning money to getting a couple thousand back after I write offs. It takes me an entire day to go through all my expenses and whatnot on turbo tax but worth it. For those that don’t wanna risk it lol

The reality is they’ve already got 70% of our tax dollars taken straight from our checks each pay period. When we file our taxes in April each year it’s for any residual amount that we owe.

But if there was a way to not pay….I’d fkn be down!
