Sounds like mine reclamation will keep people employed, it just doesn’t have the same level of royalties and tax revenue. So the government will have to raises taxes or cut costs. Mostly likely it will have to do a mix of both.
Should be a harsh lesson for the people who think all we need to do to have a strong economy is go all in on natural resources
Alas they will just say we need to open a few more mines or build a few more pipelines instead of having a thriving intellectual property/tech sector.
They knew this was going to happen and yet they dragged their feet getting new projects developed
Lab grown diamonds have a huge impact on mined diamonds these days
Who’s dumb enough to buy a diamond these days? One of the most impure markets in the world. My wifey gets gold :).
Why nicer and over half the price. Probably better for the environment too.
