Racists still mad a black man was voted as president and they are very bitter about it!
The majority of white voters, both male and female, young and old, rich and poor voted for Trump in 2024.
They used to be disinterested in politics and did not bother to vote.
Then Obama happened. The African American voters who used to be just as indifferent to the politics came out to vote. And he won the presidency.
The backlash was the tea party which became the MAGA. The white people, specifically the poor and uneducated start showing up to vote. The GOP primary was a tux and tie affair where the money was the main factor but now it has become a Klan rally.
Stupid Clooney and Pelosi somehow thought they could put another Obama into the presidency and pushed Biden out.
I just wish Obama had cared about strengthening the foundations of our democracy a whole lot more. He saw deranged daily behaviors from Republicans and decided they were friendly, and that meeting them half way was a great idea. That worked out…
2024 was not a free & fair election.
Unfortunately, there is a case to be made for her position. Clearly Trump is a racist and misogynist. And he was running against a multicultural progressive that also was a woman. So any racist backlash was particularly successful.
America voted for Trump because he is funny on Saturday Night Live. Anything beyond that is overthinking things.
If Mamdhani runs for president, then we will have another 10 to 15 years backlash
