I really really hope *the thing* happens before the US does something unforgivable.
Well… another, larger scale, unforgivable something anyway.

What are the chances that Dennmark wins a war vs the US

I’m terribly concerned about possible food preparation issues for US officials in Greenland.

They do that at lots of embassies, seems like a non story.

They tried bribing Geeenland citizens with a measly 10k to give up their healthcare and education benefits. Now they are trying to get young or homeless to work for peanuts? Even if US compensated fairly…still not worth it.

I don’t even understand this. I haven’t been following the story, but why does Trump think he can just annex a foreign land, and also why does he care so much about it?

What are the odds that Putin and Xi Jinping convinced/told Trump that he could have North and South America, specifically floating that he needs Greenland to put a wedge between US and NATO?
Almost seems like the three are acting as if they have divided the world among themselves, the Americas for the US, Russia gets Europe, and China takes Asia.

Trump is losing control and his popularity even among brain washed conservatives is taking a hit. An invasion of Greenland would be wildly unpopular especially among liberal states.
Furthermore the imagery of seeing American soldiers murdering people in Greenland would sink the Republican Party for decades. It’s not worth the cost with any luck the republicans will do enough damage to the country that they will lose the house and senate and that will be the effective end of the Trump administration.
It’s not ideal but with Trump gone maybe after a few decades my country can rebuild its shattered reputation.

Is „annexation“ a reasonable word choice in context?

Greenland is part of the sovereign kingdom of Denmark. Denmark is also a founding member of NATO. The US would be obligated to help defend Greenland under NATO article 5, as would all the other NATO members. Since I can’t really see how the US is gonna annex Greenland without force, it isn’t gonna happen.
TraditionalLaw7763 on
I’m confused. If Trump tries to take Greenland by force, wouldn’t that trigger our response by Denmark? And if so why isn’t Venezuela doing anything to fight back against all of the attacks as well? Is America just gonna go around and bomb people like they did in Nigeria? Is any country going to do anything to stop them?

What a great idea, try to import your shitty ‚intern‘ slave labor scheme. Fuck unpaid internships, a total scam and screw what thenUS is doing.

America relies on an underpaid underclass to function economically.
I don’t know if there is a similar demographic of labour in Greenland.

Wow get to betray your country for free. How can anyone turn down such a great offer? In a few years we will be reading about the interns that were actually working for the Danish government. Who could have known they would be so sneaky?
