    1. „Yeah but REAL communism has never been tried!!!!!“

Every „communist“ regime in the history of humanity fit the description in this meme, so that point is irrelevant and should be disregarded.

„Yeah but that means REAL communism could work!!!!!“

Statelessness, classnessness, common ownership and moneylessness can work. The caveat is that it all falls flat the moment someone (e.g. a big enough rebellious organization, or a foreign invader) tries to take control, at which point you return to an authoritarian state which lacks laws to ensure private rights. tl;dr: it only works if the entire world cooperates, which will never happen.

      Edit for the snowflakes:

      „Yeah but CAPITALISM…!“

Capitalism has its own problems. And even if you can convince me that pure capitalism is worse than pure communism, this is not a counter-argument against the fact that „REAL communism“ can never and will never exist in practice.

    2. The main difference between nazi and Soviet Union is that nazis targeted other countries while Soviets (mainly) targeted their own people

    3. y4XrW3UhRikFMG on

And that’s exactly why in Poland we hate both equally, and promoting either of them is prohibited by law.

    4. Les Podervianskyi said exactly the same thing. He described Russian ideology as “Pussy nazism” (Сцикливий нацизм) as they are afraid to acknowledge they’re nazis.

    5. But you know that not every communist is stalinist and fan of soviet union right, lmao. If somebody says that Marx had some good points it dont mean that he like pol pot.

This. I get so annoyed when I see Westerners romanticize communism. My parents who actually grew up with it would like a word…

    7. MasterDoogway on

All of these fits for interwar Poland as well so that’s not an ownage you think it is lol

    8. A.) Wrong

B.) Genuine Nazi apologia to pretend that they are not in denial about the evil of their ideology

Most of the points on the left apply to our ultra-capitalist, democraticaly voted goverments 😬 And the rest would too, if there would be a space for it in our country(Slovakia). So I guess none of the systems is really immune to that?

    10. I mean, I agree, but a lot of people on the internet don’t understand that Communism and Socialism are two diffrent things, and most self-proclaimed „Communists“ don’t support what actual Communism is, and actually the stuff they’re talking about fits into Democratic Socialism.

Important thing to know, is that Socialism is, in it’s core, a really good ideology, becouse it’s basicly just „Hey, lets be equal“. Buy, the problem always lies in the execution, with 90% of the time is, really shit.

Anyway, yeah, historically, communism was really bad.

    11. Communism is a system which is basically incompatible with human nature. People should be treated equally by law, but are not equal. People have different potentials, some are vulnerable and need extra care, majority will live just right and some will make live better for themselves and others.

There is nothing wrong with wealth, unless actions of wealthy individual negatively impact others.

That is why social-democracy, with free market, yet regulated by state is the ultimate solution.

Totalitarian regimes often have several key things in common, similar to religion

      – There is always a text of doctrine (Bible, Mein Kampf, Mao, Lenin’s work etc)
      – There is always an enforcer (Spanish Inquisition, Gestapo, KGB etc)
      – There is always an enemy that must be persecuted endlessly to extinction, often they consist of one or more minority groups (heretics, ‚***enemies*** of the people‘ etc)

    13. Numerous_Team_2998 on

This is true with one caveat – as soon as you start claiming that unemployment benefits are communist, your opinion should be discarded with the rules of reductio ad Hitlerum.

    14. There were no concentration camps in the USSR. And communism is not against democracy. You call propaganda takes as „facts“

    15. Technical_Freedom566 on

Communism has shown itself to be a lie not to mention they say they are helpful

    16. DistributionRight261 on

The big difference is that Nazis lost the war, so very one agreed on the story.

Meanwhile communists „helped“ USA and they had nukes.

    17. Upbeat-Size-624 on

they were not strong enough to fight it down so they fall in it for years, decreasing their progress in any comparable aspect and now they say it was great to have communism.. lol

As some one who loves learning about Poland because it’s my heritage

I hate to say it but Poland was pretty authoritarian and undemocratic in the 30’s

    19. Individual_Quote2055 on

First lost the war, second won. That’s reason for that different narrative. What is more fucked up that there are also some good things that those oppresive systems did, which no one will talk about.

    20. the_weaver_of_dreams on

„Nazis and communists are the same, I’m such a big-brained boy.“

Grow up and remember which one of those groups murdered millions of your countrypeople, looted the shit out of your country, and carried out mass destruction of your villages, towns and cities.

No one is saying communism was good for Poland; Nazism was simply much much worse.

    21. You can oppose communism and (rightfully) hate USSR. But also accept the fact that after 50 years of USSR oppression, there was some Poland left that could break free.

If it was 50 years of Nazi occupation, there would not be any Poland left nor Poles that could break free. Final solution was not targeted only against Jews, once they were exterminated, all slavs would be the main target and 50 years is enough time to fully erase any Poles, Czechs and others from their Reich.

    22. Yes. These specific communists were in practice quite similar to nazis, in regards to all those things you’ve listed, which are also a thing in America. So in conclusion, capitalists, nazis and communists and exactly the same.

    23. Infamous-Yellow-8357 on

To be fair, capitalists also hate democracy and that’s why they buy politicians and those politicians push to make it more difficult to vote. It’s also becoming increasingly totalitarian and has always been imperialist. Cult of personality? We got one of those. Trump with the MAGA movement. Incarcerate people in concentration camps based on race? Did it to the Japanese. Currently doing it to Hispanics. Genocide and enslaving people in the name of their ideology? Not yet, but legitimate concern.

    24. What people do not get that usually all the systems which create the worst dystopias have one common thing: **Concentration of power**.

**Nazis/Fascist need to concentrate the power because they need to enforce state/nation above all policy.**

**Communist need to concentrate power in order to enforce „equality“ policy.**

**Late state capitalism concentrates power as an effect of profit above all policy.**

      The problem is:

**Concentration of power is like a moth to a flame for the biggest kind of filth each generation manages to produce. You can’t protect the concentration from them – they will always find a way to reach it due to their determination and greed – they are just head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to motivation. There is a reason why every American Constitution and system is literally full of fail saves in order to prevent that from occurring and keep in mind -> that system is over 200 years old.**

**No matter how great your idea is, how noble your intentions are, how strong willed of a person you are if to make it true you need to concentrate the power of a nation – scum of this earth will find their way to your inner circle and take you down as an obstacle for their goal and once more create a hell on earth.**

    25. But you know people dont understand whats communism?

You do realise that „Communism“ was just in nicer paper wrapped than Fascism?

I mean true communism was never achieved and never will be achieved due to human nature of being greedy and always wanting more

Because in real communism most controversial thing is that everyone are equal. No rich, no poor

But lets be honest there always be people who want more and more

    26. NickofWimbledon on

Individuals can in theory believe in the ideal of a communist state without (a) thinking it is remotely possible to get that in the real world or (b) being evil. Nazis?

    27. n0t_________me on

If you compare nationalism and cominism. There are ofcource some big differences. But yes, Nazi Germany and USSR were basically same. Someone could make argument USSR was even worse.
