      How about working from home when possible. That worked. No need to spend billions more on public transport, fixing roads and people getting sick because of other ppl on the train or in the office. Don’t need a traffic czar when traffic isn’t an issue.

      Someone is going to make 200k a year to tell us what we already know. We need more efficient public transportation systems.

      worthless virtue-signaling. we do not need to pay Andrew Posluns approximately $296,000/year to resolve what is a very rudimentary problem. if we actually wanted to tackle Toronto traffic issues, only three steps are required:

      **Step one:** immediately permit municipal and provincial employees to work remotely as desired
      **Step two:** provide tax incentives to the private sector for permitting staff to work remotely
      **Step three:** invest in improving public transit

      but of course, we will do the exact opposite. instead, we will:

      • flood the downtown core with office workers who do not need to be there
      • encourage office workers to spend money in the downtown core instead of their local economies
      • make it the responsibility of regular citizens to maintain the value of corporate real estate

      the truth is that Posluns will likely accomplish nothing, because Toronto actually has no interest in improving traffic congestion. the real solutions are not economically beneficial to the city

      Are we still paying the person, or people, that were responsible for congestion before the czar? I’m assuming that we would have had someone, possibly an entire department, looking into traffic issues before December 2025??

      TTC ridership dropped in 2025, despite RTO, despite LRT. That’s what Toronto needs to focus on, not painting lanes red or whatever comrade Chow does when she is not dancing. Make TTC work better, stink less and remove demented junkies attacking other passengers, and your traffic problems will be much better even without traffic emperors

      Guess where millions of new Canadians settled when the Trudeau government opened the floodgates? The GTA. Maybe try not ramping up immigration numbers unless the infrastructure can handle it.

      Increase capacity or reduce demand. Since you can’t really do the former, have to do the latter. Means providing alternatives or pricing people out of driving. Good luck czar

      Let me guess, “Congestion Pricing” to get the riff raff off the roads so the wealthy can get where they are off to without interruption. The rest of us get shunted onto an overcrowded TTC dodging puddles of pee and stabbings or onto frozen bike lanes to nowhere.

      I have a simple solution that is free and can be implemented immediately. Work from home for office workers. Leave the roads open for those who must be there … nurses, construction workers. Less congestion for them, boom! Everyone is happier. Except the bosses with no life who love to feel like overlords by going into the office. I bring my laptop from home to sit in an office on Zoom calls 🙃
