True why not ALL?
Some? What up with that?
i googled the news, and this is not the first time it happened, april, august, again, „some are returned“ even though all of them fall under the safe country agreement
what we see is immigration judges literally breaking the law and giving preferential treatment to some of them
Why some and not all? There is a paywall on that website.
All those with no legal claims were sent back… the article point out some might have exemptions because they have family in canada and that is allowed under our billateral agreement with the USA
Do people want us to break that agreement so we don’t have any recourse to send them back to the USA once they cross illegally?
Should return them all. We need to let these people know if you come here illegaly we wont give you any benifits or hand outs to discourage future people from trying to cross illegally

I wonder how many got to stay. I wish they’d close that loophole where you can win a bid to stay if you have a relative in Canada already

And that’s the fundamental problem, do you have the right to stay in a country you just showed up in? If you were really fleeing for your life, wouldn’t any country taking you be okay? The asterisk is it has to be a western welfare state.
