    1. From the article:

A veteran jazz ensemble announced Monday it was cancelling its New Years Eve performances at the Kennedy Center after it was renamed to include Donald Trump.

“Jazz was born from a struggle and a relentless insistence on freedom: freedom of thought, of expression, and of the full human voice. Some of us have been making this music for decades, and that history still shapes us,” the Cookers jazz ensemble said in a statement.

The withdrawal adds to a growing list of cancellations since the name change was announced this month.

A Christmas Eve jazz concert was cancelled last week, which the host Chuck Redd attributed to the name change. Doug Varone and Dancers, a New York dance company, has pulled out of two April performances.

John F. Kennedy’s family denounced the building’s name change as undermining the slain president’s legacy.

A tiny bit of justice. If only Trump wasn’t a horrible con man AND a rapist.

Trump slapping his name on institutions to legitimize himself is a political stunt. This administration and its enabling base is petty and devoid of all humility and shame. Trump is a convicted felon and sex offender. I think artist are entitled to back out of their contractual agreements if there’s been a change in venue administration. Their reputation is on the line. Book James Woods or 50cent or someone else.

I love this for them. Trump and his sycophants think they can plaster their name on whatever they want without consequence. The day can’t come soon enough where all the trump bullshit gets torn down.

It says volumes about the current state of the country when artists have bigger balls than a vast majority of Congress in standing up to Trump and the MAGA clowns. Bravo! ✊🏽
