Turns out, it’s the status quo with Carney and his liberals. No fundamental change has happened in his tenure. Still laundering money overseas, funding proxy wars in Ukraine. Remember when liberals used to be against this? More of the same, elbows up
I don’t really see what Carney has done to upset right-leaning Liberals or the few Conservative voters he won over. I understand why some NDP voters are returning home.
The polls have been crazy close since the election, there was maybe one brief period in the summer when the LPC lead got out of the margin of error.
We have a very divided electorate, and I think until something fundamentally shifts in either direction we are liable to see tight polling
When did we become so fixated on polls? This government just got elected. Our collective attention spans are that of a toddlers.
It’ll be really interesting to see what the next couple years bring. NDP and Green voters are returning home is basically what is happening (arguably even growing). I think Conservative Leadership will be a big factor, will be interesting to see if PP makes it through the review
Carney is planning for long-term goals. Polls only reflect what people feel in the moment, not what they anticipate coming down the pipeline unless that pipeline is already dispensing success. I’d rather wait a little longer for a good pay off than fall into the trap of easy promises from PP like the US fell for Trump’s cons.

Canadians go and vote for a liberal or conservative candidate. That candidate if elected later decides to switch sides. So technically people who voted for the conservative candidate got a liberal MP and vice versa. What is the point of having elections at all ?
Supporting Carney means supporting mass housing unaffordability and screwing over the younger generation. It’s becoming quite clear that Canadian „friendliness“ is very subjective, and the woke mob hates people born here.
Maybe keeping most of the Trudeau menagerie may have some thing to do with performance.
I mean Carney is dealing with threading the needle of Trump and the EU. There’s likely not many people that could navigate this as well. Anyone that thinks PP would do better is delusional.

Kinda weird to see this, yet the liberals may form a majority government
I mean for a „world class economist“, Carney sure seems set on spending untold millions on a gun „buyback“ that unfairly targets law abiding gun owners and their legally-obtained property. It is common knowledge that a vast majority of gun crime in Canada is committed with illegal guns smuggled in from the US.
Plus, screw the LPC for planning to vote against Bill C-220. Our justice system has devolved into a 2-tier system that sees criminal non-citizens being awarded lighter sentences in order to help them avoid deportation.
The existing problem is that with an extreme right leaning cpc, we will not have a reasonable, rational, cooperative opposition to get the substantive climate tech/science development initiatives we need.
BC is hilarious – funny how the threat of losing the property you bought and own because of local judiciary putting their belief in „treaty fairness“ ahead of common sense will turn you against progressive political belief…
