Ok to be fair if you consider the volativity of the US political landscape I think it is fair to say that no US president can guarantee anything lasting for 30 years…

15 years is good. Just immediately focus on building atomic missiles and point them to the Kremlin.
Unless this is backed by legislature from Congress, no US president can guarantee anything longer than 8 years (their two terms if they get that).

Fifteen years is more than enough time to build a credible defence against Ruzzia coming back for round three.
It just needs the current sanctions to stay in place in order to guarantee Ruzzia can’t rearm effectively.
At this stage I’d trust a US security guarantee about as much as a Russian one

People keep forgetting that the US sold us out at the end of ww2 also. The Yalta meetings were just the us giving everything stalin wanted to the ussr. Look how well that turned out… i think it is tine for the EU to start acting like the super power it is.
US security guarantee with this current administration is worth nothing. Needs to be European troops on the ground on the Ukrainian side of a Demilitarized zone (DMZ) with a UN peacekeeping mission inside the DMZ between the two forces.
Zelenskyy should get a fucking medal purely for dealing with Trump and his admin.
