We are bombing random villagers and fishermen around the world.

Team Murica! We pay to kill people to distract the world from our accused pedophile President

    2. Knowing how this regime operates…if you choose to join the US military today, you are one of the bad guys.

If the location had no known history tied to the stated reason for the strike,it’s going to raise serious and immediate questions about the intelligence that led to the decision. The gap between the justification and the reality on the ground is the story here.

      That’s not true

“The Chairman of Tangaza Local Government Area, Isa Salihu, confirmed in a telephone interview with Premium Times that the strike hit a known insurgent hub, though casualty figures remain unconfirmed.

“That area serves as their primary route when entering from the Niger Republic,” Salihu explained. “They frequent these zones and have established camps in the dense forests near the border.”

“We cannot yet confirm if targets were killed. We are awaiting detailed security reports to determine the impact and to verify if there were any civilian casualties,” he added.”

“The Sokoto State Government confirmed that terrorist locations were bombed in the operation but provided no photographic evidence of terrorists killed. Nigerien soldiers in neighboring Niger Republic said they observed Lakurawa fighters escaping from Tangaza after the strikes.”

Anti-Christian violence in Nigeria is mostly fake news. It’s an Evangelical self-pity Crusade, about how Christians everywhere are persecuted, and they never, ever, ever, ever do anything wrong to anyone. Trump’s base lives in a world entirely made of lies. They were living in this world before Trump came along, but Trump goes to extremes when it comes to his dealings with the truth; he doesn’t care what it is – what he cares about is image, what seems to be what to whom. Reality doesn’t even come into it.

    6. Just another crime by America’s Hitler administration. Or how they call it there, *a Monday*.

    7. Christians think if you’re Muslim, you’re automatically anti-Christian.

Well he had to bomb something then claim victory, doesn’t matter if there was ISIS.

    9. Thank you perpetuating this lie Nicki Minaj, who by the way has nothing to say about Trump killing her countrymen with drones in sovereign waters.

Doesnt mean that the terrorists werent there. The government of Nigeria seems to believe that the operation was properly conducted, I’ll trust them.

If this was about stopping a terrorist group and not about manufacturing a narrative of Christians under attack they’d be able to admit most victims of such violence in Nigeria were *also Muslim*, people who were too moderate for the militants who killed them. But those lives don’t fuel the culture war so they morph into martyred Christians MAGA will perform empathy for. Trump, his admin, and MAGA don’t give a single shit about Nigerians of any faith, they’re inserting themselves into this issue to „create stories“ first and if they make things worse in the process who cares? America First, baybee!

I’m confused…one caption says it was debris from expended munitions. Was this town targeted or was it an accident where parts of the missile fell on it?

He wants natural resources in that region.

That’s it. It’s all about money, nothing to do with Christians or persecution of said Christians.

As a matter of fact, Christians will suffer even more as a result of what this administration wants from this region.

And remember, America isn’t the only one in the game trying to get these rare minerals. China, Russia and other Middle Eastern countries are already there, including European countries and foreign corporations.

All have already established a foothold in much of this region in order to exploit the land and the people for all it’s got. They’re the ones funding these roving gangs who are harming Christians and Muslims, and are willing to negotiate with them in order to get what they want.

ALWAYS follow the money, not the poor, vulnerable people.

And remember that the sad, harsh truth is that we ALL benefit from this, and would basically have to go live in some rain forest or jungle, and truly live off the land, in order to opt out of this.

We all have cell phones, computers and cars. We all benefit from medical devices, instruments and technology to improve our health such as pace makers, knee replacements, reading glasses, sunscreen, skin care products, dental care, etc., etc. We use these resources to build houses, schools, all manner of infrastructure, & the list goes on and on.

Nearly all aspects of modern life require the use of products made from precious/rare metals and materials.

Understand, that this is the reality, along with the fact that our government and the corporations aren’t willing to purchase these materials at a fair price, so instead of negotiating with the people who are from these regions in order to access their natural resources in a manner that is equitable to the locals, they go bomb them instead, and take whatever they want by force. So it’s a roving gang of warlords funded by China or Russia, or it’s a missile, a bomb, or a drone, but whichever way it goes, it gonna be something that is quite unpleasant to the locals who are innocents & just trying to survive.

Tale as old as time. Facts.

Go ahead, ask anyone you know who voted for him why we are bombing any of the current places.

    15. There was a report on the BBC a day after the US strikes. They said that local people at one of the locations hit, had never seen terrorist activity there.

The feeling was that the strikes where apparently a power play by the US because they are worried about China moving in to African countries. Mainly because China is giving them things the US won’t, like infrastructure investment. So the US is trying to keep them on side by using their Military power against rebels.

As ever this has fuck all to do with ISIS, Or violence against Christians.

    16. escapefromelba on

All we’re doing is encouraging extremism and future terrorism with these kinds of actions.

    17. Is it a violation of Nigerian sovereignty for US to bomb them like this? Presumably the Nigerian government could legitimately interpret this as an act of war?
