Putin has made it pretty clear that he intends to spend his remaining years waging wars. He sees himself as a a great general destined to rebuild the Soviet Union. Any kind of peace deal is not in his interests. There are only two ways to dislodge the current situation: either Putin dies, or the Russian economy gets crippled beyond repair.
Which peace plan are we talking about, because trump has already shot down the 20 point plan Zelensky just came up with.

Putin hasn’t moved an inch in three years, launched the biggest attack of the war yesterday, and we’re still pretending there’s a ‘peace plan’ he might accept. How many more billions and lives before we admit it’s not happening?

I can imagine US oil/gas producers, especially LNG, have no issue with keeping the war going as prolonged sanctions, pipeline sabotage and drones have continued to chip away at Russia’s ability to produce and distribute. The US is capitalizing by filling energy gaps overseas and Russia is running out of intact refineries and countries to sell to. Will US continue to tighten their strangle on Russian energy exports to Europe and elsewhere until Russia folds? It seems as if there’s only so much the US can do to limit what Turkey, India and China import.
It’s been frustrating from the start. Putin entered Ukraine because Biden was weak. Europe has failed to help Ukraine fight off Russia. America has only given enough support to make the war more costly to Russia, not to end the conflict. Trump keeps talking like Putin wants to end it, but in reality Putin can out last Ukraine and can’t afford to loose due to his own ego.
Europe needs to unite and end this. Stop buying Russian gas. Give Ukraine support to not just defend itself but to fight back. This is a European conflict. Their weakness will only lead Russia to pick another area to consume if they win in Ukraine.

Funny. Russian troops have barely shifted either.
They’ve gained 1% of Ukrainian land in the last 2 years of fighting, while they’ve been reduced from tanks to golf carts to escooters and now to **literal horseback**.
Putin doesn’t care, he is just hoping Trump pulls through for him before Russia collapses.
War is benefiting them all equally. No elections, No accountability, pay to play politics at its best. While who suffers ?
