Yeah, when your kid calls you a deadbeat dad in private, you don’t publicize it and call him whiny. You rethink your life choices.
This is the same dad that used to hang out in the nude when his kids had friends over.
The more I hear about him, the more I don’t like him.

Our parents used to hit us, and we ground our children. From our children’s perspective, were abusive. They will give a stern talk to their children and their children will complain as well.
These kids got stellar acting careers out of their father. Take the win and learn to be grateful lol

Wow this headline is disingenuous, this was clearly said as a joke. So much so that [memes were made](https://www.instagram.com/p/DSL97X7DoKF) out of their exchanges.

Well, you were always working and never let him drive the golden chariot, Dad!

I saw that „Actors on Actors“ video where Alexander seemingly half-jokingly calls him a dead-beat dad, then Stellan pretends to be emotional about it, lol. They then go into discussing the roles they’re up for awards this year.
In the suggested videos for that one, there was a video on YouTube from about 3 decades ago where Stellan is puttering around this, shall we say, *cozy* home, trying to prepare dinner, while a tween/teen Alexander is doing homework at the dining table. It seemed very cute.
