I’m guessing he’s drunk and or on drugs and fell asleep.
If not under the influence of anything; to get to a state of full acceptance to get blown to pieces, he’s gone through several stages. Final acceptance coming in hard!

Been seeing this alot in recent videos. Some of it may be that they just give up but I think some of the Russian soldiers have been taught to freeze in the hopes that the drones won’t see them. Seen a few videos now where this happens in larger groups where they all just pick a tree and stand there. I’m sure alot of them are also been lied too about their „thermal anti-drone cloaks“. „Just throw this over you while crawling or stand in one spot and use it, it will protect you comrade“
I think they’re told to hold still and maybe they’ll be missed by the drone operator, if they move it’s much more obvious on the screen.
There is a survivorship bias in these clips. We never see the footage where soldiers survive with this tactic because they go unnoticed and the video gets deleted. He hears constant buzzing but cannot know if he is the specific target or maybe hopes the drone will enter a blindspot and will lose the feed. He has moments to decide and knows that movement attracts attention. So staying still might be a calculated gamble. Alternatively it may not be a choice at all, but rather a biological freeze response to extreme threat.

I don’t think this is him being taught to not move. He doesn’t even react when it’s coming right at his face. Doesn’t even move his hand. Doesn’t turn his head. Nothing. He’s either already dead, high as a mofo, or doesn’t care anymore.
Why waste energy running if you’re going to get hit anyway? Just relax, enjoy the view, and let death take you.
I knew a guy from a AC-130 crew. His flight suit had a patch that said “Don’t run, you’ll just die tired”.
Perhaps that’s the theory?
And there’s houses right there he could have run to… Russian IQ pays off once again.

I have a suspicion that possibly Ukraine drone operators on purpose occasionally fly by a motionless Russian soldier. Maybe to have the soldier
Go back to his unit and spread the rumor that if you stay still the drone wouldn’t see you. Make multiple targets easier in the future. Just a thought.
