Oh… I assumed virtually everyone with any power is using AI now to try and manipulate public opinion.

It’d be silly and naive to think otherwise.

  2. As long as social media goes unchecked and unregulated, we are collectively well cooked.

propaganda and election are cheaper than war, who wouldve guessed that! /s

  4. Considering how (relatively) cheap it is to build an AI compared to traditional propaganda you should assume EVERYONE is using it at all times. And it’s only ever going to get worse.

Until we punish these states for their interference, it’ll get worse.

It also becomes harder to punish each successful interference since their selected candidates who succeeded will never retaliate

Ach, hem…..looking at you orange turd

USA does the same in Europe and South America and Russia does the same with a Bot-Army in Europe, SK, Japan and Georgia.

    > A person working in Taiwan’s AI industry told the newspaper that given the advancement in AI, it is nearly impossible to identify AI-generated characters on social media.

Russia’s been doing it in America for a decade, and it worked- Putin has our NS, and look at where we stand with our long time allies, NATO… MMW unless Trump is impeached, our military will soon be taking orders from Moscow.

    Not really surprising.

China does have bots posting pro-China content all the time. I remember seeing a video that mentioned the Uyghurs for like one second, and the comment section had a lot of denialism of China’s horrible treatment of the ethnic group, and some were repeating similar phrases to each other and were structured similarly.

    Very suspicious.
