Jfc, I dont expect much out of a conspiracy thread on a conspiracy sub – just some simple facts, or observable phenomenon that we can all speculate about… but instead its this bullshit… its two opinion pieces written half a decade apart while op pretends like these are two contradictory investigative pieces headlined on the front page of the Atlantic.
Media print what the latest editorial agenda of propaganda is. And with these editorial pieces we are to ignore that local government is governed by state government that are lobbied by banks to influence financial regulations, tax policies, licensing rules and to shape legislation on issues like consumer lending, mortgage regulations, and environmental or social policies affecting banking practices. The media is best ignored or at best taken with a pinch of salt merely to know what the latest Think Tank would like us to believe.
