When companies use AI in their marketing, I’m left with the impression that since they’re cutting corners on their public image they’ve already cut as far as they can on product quality. They’re literally spending shitloads of money to ensure I have a worse impression of their product lol!

AI is here to stay whether we like it or not. Even if a bunch of people “don’t like it” the cost savings for these companies are enormous, and that’s sadly what shareholders care about most.

They’ve been running that coke ad on reddit for like a month with comments enabled. Everyone is posting ascii dicks and condemning them but they keep comments open whenever they refresh it. This controversy isn’t harming them, they are leveraging it for an ad you will actually pay attention to.

I had to see that coke ad in IMAX when I went to see Avatar 3. The juxtaposition of this AI slop ad followed by a movie made by a creative who is staunchly anti AI gave me whiplash
