  1. Is this comment section going to act like the U.S. hasn’t been the one to legitimize this type of actions? Yes they are

It says these were smugglers, and Iran did the same thing last month. Doesn’t sound like a big deal.

Given the very cheap oil prices it’s more profitable to smuggle the subsidized state oil to a country with better rates.

If those were indeed illegal smugglers sailing under a false flag, all well and good for Iran. Good for them.

If Iran is renewing its earlier ambitions to harass legitimate commercial maritime traffic and it messed with Uncle Sam’s oil, they may find out all the unhinged things the current US administration is capable of.

Last time Iran harmed US shipping the USN destroyed half of Iran’s navy in what it deemed only to be a measured, proportional response, and had to be restrained from going further because the president didn’t want to escalate into full on open war. This current president is considerably less…reasonable, and Iran is a lot more vulnerable right now due to their domestic issues at home on top of their integrated air defense apparatus having recently been dismantled for them and a lot of their command and control infrastructure and IRGC leadership elements having been sent to an early retirement.
