Not much of a difference between human or robot hallucinations on this front
The people doing this aren’t Christians, they’re Americanists. Its a heretical sect of Christianity.
I guess when seemingly nothing is sacred anymore, it doesn’t mean much does it.
I was kind of expecting an article that at least broached the dangers of LLMs feeding back into users own expressed beliefs, and potentially providing a pathway toward radicalising them or even introducing dangerous interpretations of common religious themes for vulnerable users.
Instead this article is just an extended word salad that, somewhat ironically, reads like it was written by an LLM.
A universal fact of American Evangelical culture is that they have no taste, so this AI shit fits right in with the rest of the megachurch act.

Are they afraid AI will hallucinate a more believable story? Maybe in their version god won’t be pro slavery, infanticide, genocide, etc.
To be fair, Christian music seems like the genre where it could most easily be replaced by AI. It’s even more formulaic than modern country, and it’s a genre where lyrics about praising Jesus matter more than innate musical ability.
It’s as legitimate as the real word of „God“ IMO.

AI-generated Christian music actually makes sense, it’s always been pretty bland and tasteless anyway.
I think it’ll just prove that organized religion is a hoax. If a 3 year old technology can spew the same crap as a pastor raised in a 2000 year old tradition, it means that entire tradition can be boiled down to a few principles meant to control a flock of sheep.

On that show, 20 minutes into the future, an AI cult becomes the third-largest Christian denomination on the planet (after Catholicism and The 700 Club) because they promise AI can bring dead relatives back to life.
