Curious what the workers meant by dangerous working conditions. Genuinely not being doubtful of the what they meant.

Supposedly one of the bigger points of the Casa Bonita refurbishing documentary was to showcase how hazardous the previous iteration of Casa Bonita was, with Trey and Matt, as well as their team working to alleviate those issues.

Given that the documentary itself was marketed and streamed on paramount, I wonder how much of it (if it’s true) was a facade (or a design oversight, or maybe a design oversight that’s actively not being addressed), and how similar/different the hazardous working conditions are between pre and post Matt/Trey ownership

    2. I’d be willing to bet Matt and Trey are operating that restaurant for very little profit, if not a loss. Sounds like employees are just being greedy because they know those guys are filthy rich.

$21-$26 hourly isn’t bad pay. I expected much lower, which is probably why they held it off until the end.
I feel like so much context is missing. I dunno, I looked it up because I was curious.

      – Minimum wage in Colorado is currently $14.81 and is set to increase to $15.61 in 2026.
      – Denver has the highest rates for local minimum wage of around $19-ish hourly.
      – Casa Bonita is in Lakewood Colorado where the minimum wage is $14.81 for non-tipped employees and $11.79 for tipped.
      – The rates for actors in SAG-AFTRA and average rates largely depend on the overall budgets and production with median actors making around $23 hourly.
      – For theatre the average pay for median actors is between $22-$30 depending on the city.

So, their wage seems to be somewhat in line with what is the average for actors and it’s above the minimum wage. I could be off though, since I only did a cursory search.

    4. If it’s not profitable they’re just gonna close it down and all those people will have to get new jobs elsewhere.

    5. $21-$26 an hour seems more than fair… They shouldn’t have to pay servers more $ than regular restaurant owners just because they have more $ than the average restaurant owners
