Turns out you don’t beat a fast-moving competitor by hiding behind tariffs and hoping they stop running.
US? Compete? Nahhh- monopolies, corporate bribes, sanctions, and tariffs are the way to go! </s>
Most US industries have given up and switched to a „me too“ attitude. It’s going to kill them when someone rockets ahead and there’s no path to even „me too“ that change.
Data localization laws and JVs to manufacture Chinese cars in the U.S. seems the best answer. They touch on localization but not the JVs. Instead they indicative just need more $ for local companies….but I’m tired of financially backing our loser auto companies for the past 15 years
